3G - 3rd Generation

3G or International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 or (IMT2000) better known as 3G (3rd Generation.)  is a connection that allows any mobile phone to access video, audio or any other communications through a mobile broadband. The applications you can use on 3G are Mobile TV, Video on Demand, Video Conferencing, Tele-Medicine or Location-based services. The 3G network currently covers 93% of the UK population. The 3G services are designed to offer broadband cellular access at speeds of 2Mbps and be generally fast for all users that use it.
